Emily began learning the violin at an early age and has continued to turn her passion for music into a career. Alongside teaching at PCYM, she is a full time classroom teacher of music in a secondary school.
Emily was initially taught violin locally in Peterborough and then went on to study at the Junior Birmingham Conservatoire (2009-2014) and the Junior Guildhall (2015-2017) School for Music and Drama. Emily won the Peterborough ‘Young Musician of the Year’ competition in 2017. Since then, she studied for a BA in Music at Durham University and then received her teaching Qualification (PGCE) from Cambridge University in 2022.
