Charlie graduated from the University of Birmingham with a BMus (Hons) degree, completing a specialist study in orchestral conducting, and a dissertation on temporality in contemporary Japanese composition. Charlie is an experienced Percussionist and Violinist playing with, or conducting, several orchestras close to home. Charlie has seen many students through exams, with a very high percentage of merit and distinctions, and enjoys seeing students discover a greater love for music as well as learning their instrument.
